<p>1 Egg white<br />

<p><strong>Directions:</strong></p>
<p>1. Whisk the egg white until it is very stiff, then fold in the sugar and the ground pecans. Put the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large star nozzle. Pipe stars of the mixture on to baking trays lined with non-stick baking parchment, spacing them apart.  Press a small piece of pecan nut into the center of each star.</p>
<p>2. Bake at 120C/350F/Gas Mark 4 for 20 minutes or until firm.  Allow to cool completely, then remove the cookies from the parchment, tearing it away from the edges</p>
<p>Makes about 30</p>
