Date Queen Cakes Recipe

Ingredients:

115g (4oz) Butter
115g (4oz) caster sugar
2 Eggs, beaten
115g (4oz) self-rising flour
50g (2oz) chopped dates

Directions:

1. Cream the butter and sugar together until pale and fluffy.? Gradually beat in the egg, a little at a time, beating well after each addition.? fold in the flour, then the sultanas.

2. Spread out 16 paper cases on baking trays or put them into patty tins.? Fill the paper cases half full with the mixture.? Bake at 190C/375F for 15-20 minutes, until golden.? Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
